Inside the lodge

A nostalgic experience.

Mullers Mountain Lodge feels less like a conventional hotel and more like a nostalgic countryside estate in the cool hills of the West Usambara Mountains. Built as a farmhouse in the 1930s, it keeps its old-world charm: exposed brickwork, stone fireplaces, timber-framed windows, lush gardens, and cozy cottages across the hillside.

The atmosphere is what truly defines the lodge:

  • Crackling fireplaces on cool mountain evenings
  • Flower-filled gardens and rolling green landscapes
  • Walking trails into forests, waterfalls, and nearby villages
  • Fresh vegetables and herbs from the lodge gardens
  • Quiet verandas for tea, coffee, or wine over the valley
